3D Printed Miata Battery Cover Nut

2 Comments on 3D Printed Miata Battery Cover Nut

I’ve “misplaced” the original nut for the carpeted battery cover on my 1991 Mazda Miata. I searched the web and found it is part number NA01-68-615 (Nut).

Since it’s made from plastic, and not a structural component, I thought it would be quick and cost effective to 3D print my own.

How I Designed It

Fusion 360. It’s a 25mm washer with a 14mm nut threaded to M5.

Bill of Materials

Printing Tips

  • Print with a heat resistance material such as PETG.

Other Tips

  • Use a M5 tap to clean up the printed threads.

Hi, I’ve been searching for this nut and it appears it is disconnected. Is there any chance you made extra’s and might sell one?

Sorry but I don’t sell any prints at the moment. My suggestion would be to reach out to any makers in your area and see whether they could print it for you. I’m sure someone would do it for a ☕ or 🍺.
