3D Printed Anti Vibration Mounts for an Ender 3

I wanted to reduce the noise from my Ender 3. It’s quite noisy in it’s stock configuration. The main source of noise comes from the stepper motors, stepper motor drivers, and fans. These mounts are easy to print, install and help isolated and reduce the noise and vibration from the printer. It’s a cost effective first step until you go down the rabbit hole of upgrading your stepper drivers and mainboard 😎.

These mounts will work with a Creality Ender 3, CR-10, and any other printer which uses a 2040 profile extrusion.

Note: In the feature image, you can also see a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ that I’m running OctoPrint on. It’s fantastic. The case I’m using is designed by Eric Ferry. You can get the STL files here. This right angle mini USB cable works great with it.

How I Designed It

SketchUp. I’ve since moved to Fusion 360. Wow what a difference. Note: SketchUp to Fusion 360 is a great learning path. I recommend.

Printing Tips

Nothing special required. It prints great with PLA and no supports.
